High-Performance Materials

This page provides information on the high-performance materials to meet needs of a wide range of industries.

CellSpheres

CellSpheres®is a hollow microsphere balloon.
With an average particle size of 10 μm or less and a void ratio of 70% or more, it offers excellent lightness and thermal insulation, and as an inorganic glassy material it is highly stable.

Ultra-High-Purity Silicon Carbide (SiC)

The increasing focus on low-carbon and energy-efficient efforts in recent years led TAIHEIYO CEMENT CORPORATION and Yakushima Denko Co., Ltd. to develop an ultra-high-purity SiC by combining the material and technological know-how that both companies possess. This new material is helping to advance low-carbon and energy-saving technologies.

E-SPHERES

E-SPHERES are microspherical hollow ceramic balloons. They are superior to conventional hollow balloons in strength and can withstand various stress and shear force generated in the manufacturing process of composite materials. Furthermore, their stable physical properties make them a highly reliable material in terms of product design.
