Waste Disposal Services

We contribute to the development of a circular economy while making the most use of our characteristics as the cement industry.

About Waste Disposal Services

Expectations for the proper treatment are rising every year, and waste-generating businesses are expected to bear responsibility through to its proper final disposal. Coal ash, sludge, incinerator ash, slag, and other materials with compositions similar to those of cement are recycled as part of the raw materials to produce cement. Waste tires, waste oil, waste plastics, and other materials with high calorific value are also reused as part of the thermal energy used in the cement manufacturing process. Since these combustible wastes are incinerated through high-temperature firing in kins during cement production, there is no concern of air pollution, while the combustion residues generated as secondary waste are also recycled as part of the raw materials for cement.

Utilization rate of facilities that use ASR

Focusing on our Group cement plants that accept and treat automobile shredder residues (ASR), we report the ASR utilization in facilities to which ASR are devoted in compliance with the automobile recycling law (Act on Recycling of End-of-Life Automobiles).
