Soil Solutions
TAIHEIYO CEMENT provides comprehensive services, from soil surveys based on the Soil Contamination Countermeasures Act, to treatment and recycling. We have developed our own system for solidifying/insolubilizing contaminated soil and construction generated soil then recycling (thermal recycling) them as a raw material for cement in a safe manner.
DENITE
DENITE is a heavy metal immobilizer that delivers superior performance in immobilizing all Class II Specified Chemical Substances (heavy metals, etc.) as designated by the Soil Contamination Countermeasures Act. It can also immobilize complex contamination in soil containing a number of different heavy metals.
Main targets of immobilization treatment
- Contaminated soil, excavated muck, ground-improved soil
- Shield tunneling spoil, filter-press soil, dredged sludge
- Sludge, incineration ash, steel slag
- Adsorbents, wastewater treatment agents
Features
- Immediate immobilizing effect upon mixing
- A non-cement inorganic powder material
- Can be used with conventional methods
- Depending on soil conditions, soil improvement and strengthening is also possible.
- Can meet various needs of the site

Ferrous sulfate
Ferrous sulfate is a byproduct generated during the production of titanium dioxide and is used for a variety of applications.
Applications
- Exhibits acidity (pH 2.0–3.0) and can be used for pH adjustment of soil, sludge, and wastewater
- Acts as a reducing agent, effectively reducing hexavalent chromium (a hazardous compound) to trivalent chromium (a non-hazardous compound)
- Can be used to remediate contaminated soil containing arsenic, selenium, cyanide, etc.
