| Barite is a natural mineral that consists of barium sulfate. We import our barite from the People's Republic of China, which has the most barite deposits in the world. Since our barite contains large amounts of barium, it has a high density and has been verified to be safe for the environment. This makes it suited for use as a weighting material and as an aggregate in heavyweight concrete. |

- As an aggregate, barite's density is close to that of ordinary iron ore (about 4.0 g/cm3).

- Our barite does not contain any ingredients or minerals that can cause reactions harmful to concrete, including the alkali-silica reaction and other expansion-causing reactions.
- Our barite is gray and can be used to make concrete similar in color to heavyweight varieties made with ordinary concrete aggregates.
- The amount of chlorides, clay lumps, organic impurities, and other foreign substances conforms to the standard for concrete aggregate as defined by Japanese Industrial Standards (JIS).
