*** Soil contaminated at concentrations exceeding the secondary leaching standard (0.3mg/ℓ or less) designated by the Soil Contamination Countermeasures Act.
Immobilization effect under acidic/alkaline conditions
To assess the immobilization stability of DENITE-treated soil against external factors, such as acid and alkaline conditions, we conducted tests using a relative assessment method* for the stability of the pH change for soil treated to immobilize heavy metals at the Geo-Environmental Protection Center. We were able to determine that DENITE demonstrated a stable immobilization effect even under acid and alkaline conditions, with no marked difference in leaching amount seen by test method.
