Development of PFC(Pore Free Concrete/Porosity Free Concrete)
with highest strength in the world

Construction results

The prospects are good for PFC, with its extremely fine structure, to contribute to both the verticalization and lengthening of structures, as well as their ultra-high durability. Therefore, PFC panels were used for reinforcement construction of sea walls subject to intense erosion by the waves and sand gravel from the coast. This was the first case of using PFC. We will continue with follow-up observations, and examine the long-term durability of PFC in a real environment.

Image of next-generation structure created with PFC

Using PFC with its strength at least equal to that of steel, and without the risk of corrosion, as a building material offers the prospect of creating previously impossible structure types. For example, PFC may allow for creating the world's first concrete suspension bridge, an all-concrete bridge not using any steel, and the world's highest super high-rise building.

Expanding applications to industrial domains other than construction

Using PFC with its ultra-high strength and ultra-high performance, we will strive to create demand outside of the construction field, and attempt to use it as a replacement material for iron and ceramic.
