"Rintoru" high performance phosphorus recovery agent

Rintoru is an amorphous calcium silicate hydrate material developed using technologies developed in the cement and fertilizer industries.

Autoclaved lightweight aerated concrete (ALC) and calcium silicate hydrate board, which are widely-known as calcium silicate hydrate materials, are crystalline, but Rintoru is amorphous, providing it with its high level of phosphorus recovery performance. Furthermore, its material composition was designed to allow the phosphorus recovered with Rintoru to be used as a by-product phosphate fertilizer under the Fertilizer Control Act.

Features

Highly reactive
  • Rintoru is an amorphous inorganic material based on calcium which has a high level of chemical affinity with phosphorus.
  • Recovered phosphorus material contains a high phosphorus content ratio, allowing it to be used as phosphate fertilizer or as a fertilizer raw material.
Selective absorption
  • The recovered phosphorus material has little of the organic matter contained in wastewater, as well as less nitrogen which would restrict the ability to use the phosphorus material in fertilizer (phosphate fertilizer).
Percentage of N contained in phosphorus material recovered from filtrate of digested sludge
  • Rintoru achieves high levels of phosphorus recovery even in wastewater which contains carbonic acid. Compared to other calcium-based phosphorus recovery materials, carbonic acid, a recovery inhibitor, has little effect on Rintoru.

Superior settleability
  • Rapidly settles when left standing.
  • Phosphorus recovered materials are highly dewaterable and can be easily gained through solid- liquid separation.
