The cracks which appear in concrete structures negatively impact their durability and appearance, so there is a strong need for cracking prevention and reduction. There are various types of cracking. In structures with relatively thin members, cracking generally occurs due to drying shrinkage (drying shrinkage cracking). In structures with relatively thick members, cracking generally occurs due to the heat of hydration (temperature cracking).
We are developing technologies to efficiently and effectively control this cracking.
