Ultra high strength concrete autogenous shrinkage reduction technology

Increased autogenous shrinkage is an area of concern with ultra-high strength concrete with low water-cement ratios. We are developing techniques which use the Taiheiyo Cement group's expansive additive (N-EX), shrinkage reducing agent (Tetraguard), and shrinkage reducing superplasticizers, either individually or combined together, to reduce autogenous shrinkage.

Advanced ultra-high strength concrete

We are currently striving to further optimize construction materials to be able to consistently provide ultra-high strength concrete with strengths of Fc150N/mm2 and beyond. The quality of the aggregate used in the concrete has a major impact on concrete in this strength bracket, so we are working to develop methods for selecting high quality, high strength aggregate.
