Taiheiyo Cement Group has businesses in the Pan-Pacific region, including on the west coast of the United States and in Southeast Asia. We seek to contribute to infrastructure development around the world, focusing on the main issues confronting the earth both today and into the future, including resource and energy conservation and climate change. | In our overseas business, we manufacture and sell cement at four plants on the West Coast of the United States, one each in Vietnam, the Philippines, and Papua New Guinea, and seven plants in the Pacific Rim. In addition to the export of cement and clinker from Japan and trilateral trade, we are also developing a variety of businesses, such as increasing the handling of bulk materials.

| In the United States, four plants in California and Arizona produce cement. We also manufacture and sell ready-mixed concrete on the West Coast. A subsidiary established in the United States uses Taiheiyo Cement's Group network to import and sell high-quality cement to meet market needs in North America. |
Remarkable growth in the Asian market |

| In addition to our core business in the United States, we are also developing business in Asian countries, which are growing markets. In the Philippines, we have renewed our production lines to provide a stable supply of high-quality cement and to reduce environmental impact. We also operate a production plant in Vietnam, a clinker grinding plant in Papua New Guinea, and terminal operations in Taiwan and Singapore. In Indonesia, we have entered a capital and business alliance with the country's largest state-owned company to expand our business, including trading. We will continue to meet strong local demand and contribute to the development of social infrastructure and a recycling-based society.
