Summary
The Taiheiyo cement Composite Design System (TCDS®) was developed to efficiently meet the user’s needs. The addition of fundamental data for composite cement, that uses blast furnace slag, fly ash, and limestone powder, will further increase the prediction accuracy of the design. Similarly, other kinds of admixtures will be included for composite cement application, such as natural pozzolan.
Future plans
Aside from the TCDS®, the Taiheiyo Cement Quality Predictive System (TQPS®) is programmed to predict physical properties of Portland cements. We are developing a software that predicts the properties of concrete using composite cement, similar to the Durability Prediction System.
The overall aim is to achieve a simulation system for the process of burning clinkers, followed by the design of composite cement, and finally the design of concrete quality. All in order to provide the optimal quality cement to its users and consumers.
